Sincere sympathy to the Infant Jesus Sisters and all Sr Kathleen's relatives and friends on her passing. I was fortunate to have been a student at Malahide while the school made the transition to Pobal Scoil Íosa under her able stewardship. It was with great joy that we re-connected after my entry into the Cistercian Order and I will always retain fond memories of her encouraging and supportive visits to Glencairn. May she now enjoy the eternal reward which she so richly deserves RIP
— Sr Fiachra Ann Nutty
At our Leaving Cert Mass in 1982, Sr Kathleen sent us out in the world with “JOY”. To think of (I) J for Jesus, (ii) O for others and (iii) Y for yourself. She was a born Teacher, very skilled in teaching the faith in a way that teenagers would accept and clearly remember 38 years later. And she used her skills so well for the glory of God and the benefit of others. An example to us all, and a fantastic influence on young people leaving us sad to see her go. Thank you for all you did for the young people of Malahide all those years ago, and for enriching our young lives in a way we will never forget
— Colm Downey
Sincere sympathy to the Day family, Infant Jesus sisters and friends of the late Sr Kathleen. I first met Kathleen in the grounds of Ayrfield Church. Her cheerful disposition and beautiful smile made it easy for me to consider her a dear friend. Almost daily I would see her and we would have a chat about daily life, our past lives and mutual friends. As many of you know Kathleen had a beautiful voice and could give a verse of a song at will. After she stopped driving I would bring her on errands. This I considered a pleasure. She visited our house and met my wife. We had a lovely get together and another wonderful memory for the list. After Kathleen moved to Cork she would ring me almost daily inquiring if I had my cup of tea. A few days had gone by and next I hear she had died. She has left me many happy memories and I am the richer for having having known such a special lady. May she rest in peace.
— Peter, Josephine Igoe

Kindly accept my prayers and sympathies to the Day Family, the Infant Jesus Sisters and all the friends of Kathleen. I was one of her many students she taught in Nigeria. She was our beloved English and Religion teacher. Kathleen contributed radically in bringing up the current generation of Priests, Religious and Lay people in Yola, Maiduguri and Jalingo dioceses (Nigeria) to appreciate the values of spirituality, inclusiveness, respect for women and music. Our favourite hymn, "Suffer Little Children Come Unto Me" will never be forgotten. Kathleen, rest in peace.

Despite leaving us in 1981 to work in the missions she kept in touch with us all. In the last 39 years she visited many of us in our homes, kept in contact by phone and regularly attended our reunion gatherings. These were always fun occasions.
