Deepest sympathy to the O’Leary, O’Shea, Spring and Twiss families on the death of Sr. Lelia. I have many fond memories of her many visits to Kerry, I enjoyed meeting her on my visits to Dublin and Tuam and listening to her many stories about growing up in Kerry. Sr. Lelia was always known to us as Josie and her best story was on one of her visits to our house she encountered a German couple trying to get their horse under the wagon and they could not read the instruction book. Sr. Lelia with her farming experience needed no instruction book and got the horse ready in two minutes. She was a brilliant nurse and lived a long life. Rest in Peace Sr. Lelia.

Saddened to hear that Sr. Lelia has passed. I've fond memories of her during her time in Bon Secour Hospital, Tuam where she delivered my two oldest children in 1979 and during many times later when family members were admitted there as in-patients. She was a kind, caring, understanding, patient and tolerant nursing Sister and an institution in the Tuam area. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. I visited her many times when the Bon Secour Siters were relocated to Knock from Tuam before they returned to Cork many years ago.

Sincere condolences to her wider family circle and especially her Bon Secour Community. Sr. Lelia has now joined her loved ones in her Eternal Home and may Our Lady of Knock comfort those left behind who grieve and mourn her on this Earth. Rest in Peace Sr. Lelia ❤️
