So sad to hear of Sr Malen's passing may she RIP, her contribution to Ballymun will always be remembered by those she supported
— Lynda Ward (Ballymun)
Malen was one of a kind. So much good came from her passion and drive. When the Aisling project was starting she didn't wait for the funding to appear from the state, she met the need and let the funding follow.

She was a wonderful mentor and there is so much that I learned from her in the Aisling project that I still use today. She is still the leader I most admire combining vision, commitment, resilience, compassion and a huge sense of justice.

Without her, I wouldnt have met my wife (when we were both involved in the Aisling Project) or become a primary teacher. I have often thought about her and the impact she has had on my life and the lives of countless others. There is not enough time or space to mention all of the good she has done.

May she rest in peace, blessed by the good that she has done in this life. My condolences to her family, her community and all of her friends. While the world will miss her, she has left a legacy which will continue her work far into the future and a host of families whose lives will be better for her efforts. She certainly sought out each ones unique giftedness.

A wonderful woman who dedicated her life to others . The Aishling project was a lifeline for many children and families. I am sure many who benefited from it, will in years to come credit the service and the people who ran it, for changing their life. That will be her legacy . May she rest now in peace.
