Deepest sympathy our Dunne cousins and all who knew Maria. A life well lived, she was interested in hearing about everyone else’s life. We were lucky that she came to visit us as children in reiska and we loved her visits when John and Jerry might come too with plenty of laughter. I bumped into Maria on a packed train to Dublin in her late 70’s. I was in awe and admiration of how full her life was and yet she was really interested in hearing about me and what I was doing. I’ve thought of that journey many times and smiled. She was loved by all her first cousins, in particular Pakie and Auntie Marion. May she rest in peace and may we be as lucky as Mary to live life so well.

We are deeply sorry to learn of the death of Sr Maria. We were blessed to have her as our Parish Sister in Duneane from 1979 to August 2011. She was very attentive to the sick and brought Holy Communion every week to Henry, my husband and had a great rapport with him, following his stroke in 2006. She was responsible for many Initiatives, spiritual and charitable in our Parish and she is not and will not be forgotten.
