My deepest sympathy to Martha's nephews, nieces, her extended family, her Sisters in Loughrea and her countless friends throughout the Diocese of Clonfert. I was privileged to live with Martha in Loughrea Convent of Mercy. She was a beautiful prayerful, kind, and compassionate woman. Martha loved everyone and particularly those who were anyway disadvantaged. Martha loved reminiscing, and was a great storyteller, combined with a quirky sense of humour. Heaven gained another Saint when the Lord called you, Martha. Rest now, dear Martha.

So sorry to read of Sr. Martha's passing and sincere condolences to our neighbours, the Sisters of Mercy and the Murphy Family. Sr. Martha was a truly special person, she radiated love, empathy, wisdom, fun, devotion and faith, especially to Padre Pio. We will never forget the Sunday afternoons she called without fail for the chat after our mum passed 25 years ago, we continued to maintain that bond of friendship throughout the years. Unfortunately we had to not go to see her since the Pandemic but have lovely photos to cherish from our last occasion to visit Martha. Sr. Martha was one in a million. Rest in Peace now "dear friend" after a long life, so so well lived.
