We love you but GOD loves you most.

The sad news of the death of our Principal, mentor and astute administrator, Sr MaryJo Hand was received with shock despite her almost 97years on earth. She was our Principal in Mary Immaculate Secondary School Ado Ekiti from 1967-1970 when she moved to Ghana. She was caring and lovingly disciplined us that we would not want another disciplinary session with her or any of the other Rev. Sisters..That helped in moulding our character and helped us in becoming whom we turned out to be later in life. I was a beneficiary of her caring for the girl child education having been stopped from going back to school in 1968. Sr MaryJo noticed my absence for a whole term and sent a classmate of mine to bring me back to school at no cost. She arranged for scholarship that saw me through secondary and high school. That generous solid foundation was laid for my education up to Masters degree and a good job in the banking industry. I am eternally grateful to my mentor for this. I am thankful that I was able to link up again with Sr MaryJo and Sr Deirdre about 10years ago.My husband (Segun)and I visited them in Carrickmacross and we have been in touch on phone until Sr MaryJo was moved to lona Home. Our prayers are for all the loved ones she left behind. May God comfort them all. May Sr MaryJo Hand’s soul rest in perfect peace Amen
