As a child I met him in Pairc Ui Caoimh every year as he handed out a medal to me at the Cork city sports. He use to tell me that he would see me again in Courtmacsherry. Such fond memories of a wonderful gentleman.

Sincere sympathy to Éilis and family on the death of beloved Ted. Briseadh slabhra bás athar. We "soldiered" together in St. Patrick's Training College in the halcyon days of the early 1950's, and he is fondly remembered as a great conversationalist and a thorough gentleman. Céline and I enjoyed many a chin-wag whenever we met with him and Éilis, be it in Cork or under canvas on continental Europe. Ted was a level-headed educationist whose great legacy is acknowledged by many whom he taught in Togher Boys School. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

We have only today learned of his passing ( from John in N.Z.)
