Very sad to hear of our neighbour and friend Teresa's death, and Pat and myself offer sincere sympathy to all her relatives and her good friend Dee on their great loss. Teresa was always cheerful and delighted to chat at any time. I have many good memories of her, not least of which was her fierce independence, which probably helped her to live a long and productive life. The picture that will remain with me is seeing her working in her garden, or chatting to the passers by at her gate If you told her about some worry, you would always be assured that she would remember it in her prayers. She was a much loved and highly regarded member of the Broadway area and beyond, and will be sadly missed by us all. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
— Brid & Pat Finnerty, Broadway Drive

I am sorry to hear of Queenies passing. Some of my earliest memories are of visiting granny in Ballycoolin and the lovely home churned butter on the home baked bread. She always left some home / farm produce at the gate when we left grandad Healy home on a Sunday after mass and his pint in the Greyhound. Unfortunately life took over and we mostly lost contact after she moved from the farm but we always met at cemetery Sunday and had a catch up. I know she was happy in her new home and her neighbours became her family.
RIP Queenie, the last of that generation. Julie ( daughter of Harry ONeill )

Words can’t express how saddened I am on hearing of the death of our wonderful neighbour Teresa. She will be very sadly missed. We were friends since she arrived in Broadway road. She was a very keen gardener and we regularly compared notes and swapped plants . We will miss her tending to her shrubs and flowers almost daily and especially in the autumn when she busied herself sweeping up the leaves. We used to laugh together about that and often suggested sending a bill to Fingal Co Council for that particular work. It never materialised. She had a wonderful sense of humour and her laugh was infectious. I was envious of her deep religious faith. I often gave her a lift to attend Mass in the oratory. She would tell me that she would light a candle for me. I told her that she would have to set the place on fire for my salvation.
My sincerest condolences to all her extended family. Indeed she regarded all her friends and neighbours in Broadway as her family.
Dear Teresa . Rest In Peace
Eileen
