Sincere Sympathies to the Rock family on the passing of dear Treasa. I first met Treasa at a Comhrá meeting where her dedication to History and the Irish language was evident . She entertained all ,while imparting lots of wisdom .I often met her, in , her home parish Kilbeacanty in South Galway, the home of hurling as Treasa called it, where we would chat after mass.Múinteoir den cheád scoth, Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dilis.

My deepest condolences to the Rock family on the death of Miss Rock. She was an inspirational teacher. I had the honour of being in her leaving certificate history class. She instilled in her students a sense of confidence in their abilities and always had their best interests at heart. Suaimhneas Síoraí tabhair di a Thiarna.

It was my privilege to have been one of Miss Rock’s students. She was a brilliant teacher. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
