Tess was an absolute lady in every sense of the word.
My abiding memory of her will always be how she’d appear one week with a few blocks of her latest quilt and within a few short weeks would rock up with this masterpiece of a quilt fully completed. We would all be there admiring this ‘work of art’ and Tess would dismissingly say “ sure I threw that together at the weekend, there’s loads of mistakes in it! I’ll give it to one of the kids- I couldn’t be looking at it with all those mistakes in it! “ I can just hear her now.
Tess will be sorely missed among her Dungarvan sewing friends.
