I am heartbroken. A valiant human rights advocate who did amazing work in raising awareness about the conflict in El
Salvador with her beloved sister Monica. Never afraid to speak out when it was needed. Theresa’s focus was always truth telling from the perspective of the poor and marginalised. Hope you and Archbishop Oscar Romero are having great chats. . Rest in peace

Dear Pat and family

I was so sorry to hear about the death of your beloved sister. The going of such a loved one never finds us prepared and brings inescapable loneliness and sorrow.

The sense of absence and silence, which a person like Theresa leaves, will be great. I can’t begin to imagine what her loss will mean to you and your family, and I know that words are cold comfort at a time like this – you are much in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Sincere sympathy

Mary
