I'm so sorry Séamus to learn about your Dad's passing. I remember him well from picking you up at parties and lots of other Anamar outings. He was such a kind man and he was so proud of you and Gerard. May he rest in peace. I'm thinking of you and your Mum at this time.

It was with great sadness within the Wee Binnian Walkers, that we learned of the death of our esteemed member, walk leader and trainer, Thomas McKenna. Thomas joined the Wee Binnians 27 years ago in 1994 and over that period he made an immeasurable contribution to the development of the club. Above all we have lost a dear friend, always helpful and caring, a true gentleman with a smile for everyone. We offer our deepest sympathy to his wife Sally, his son Seamus and extended family. He will be sadly missed by us all.

Our sincere condolences to Sally, Seamus and the McKenna family on their sad loss. Thomas and I were good friends for the past 25 years through our love of hillwalking with the Wee Binnian Walkers. We trained together as mountain leaders, doing night hikes on Slieve Gullion and Cooley Mountains, camping in the Highlands of Scotland and hillwalking all over Ireland, especially the Mourne Mountains, Wales and the Lake District. He was a great companion, fun to be with, a true gentleman and highly regarded by those who had the pleasure of knowing him. We will miss him greatly.
