Sincere sympathy to Bridie and all the Nolan family on the sad passing of Tom. A true gentleman and family man. Always enjoyed calling and meeting with Tom and Bridie for our chats through out the years. They always had a lovely welcoming home.
May he rest in peace.

Sincsre sympathy to the Nolan family on the passing off Tom May he rest in peace
Uncle Tom - Rest In Peace alongside all our family that came went before us.
Thinking of you Bridie. We may eventually get over a loved one's death, but thankfully, we will never get over a loved one's life. The magnificent singing voice that graced the fields of Corker will continue to do so (in my memories). "For these are my mountains and this is my glen, the braes of my childhood will know me again. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound" ... come to mind.
Wonderful memories growing up, helping out on the farm (as best I could): saving hay, stacking bales, bottles/flasks of hot tea and sandwiches over in the fields, watching/listening as Tom milked the cows, singing aloud to calm the jittery cows, tails tied to a hind leg to keep them still. Watching as you called the cows in turn into the milk-house, each knowing their own stall amazes me to this day. The Sunday evening car rides home to Oranmore, the many hurling matches and road-trips (to Ennis, Limerick, Cork, Tipperary and Dublin) to see our Galway hurlers in action, the mad-dashes-home (especially across Derrybrien) to catch the TV highlights on the Sunday Game ... which we never missed, though we did manage to take out a Derrybrien road-side stone-wall one particular Sunday evening .... on our way back from a match at Croke Park .... during a wet 'n wild windy drive home. Memories to savor... Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
