— Paul Humphries
Sincere sympathy to the O'Connor family on Tom's passing. Tom was one of nature's gentlemen and was dedicated to the development of handball at international level in the various countries where a form of the sport was played. He gave freely and generously of his time in working towards his vision of a world where handball would enjoy the popularity that he firmly believed the sport could and would achieve.

His commitment led to the huge growth we have seen over the past thirty years in the one wall version of the game at international level, He also contributed substantially to gathering, documenting and preserving the history of the game.
