My deepest sympathies to all the Shanahan clan, Tommy was a lovely, down to Earth man and I have very fond memories of him as a neighbor growing up in Foileacleara. From the times he would cycle upto us for a visit, bringing with him a VHS tape of a film or an episode of Podge & Rodge to watch, to giving us kids all nicknames. He will be well missed by all I'm sure. Sorry to have missed the funeral.
