Absolutely gutted to read about Tommy's passing today. I met him in The Irish Times less than 4 weeks ago, and he was his usual smiling self. A lovely and decent man. My condolences to Tommy's loved one's and the Irish Times family. Rest in Peace Tommy.

I worked with Tommy nearly 10 years ago in The Irish Times and remember him so well. He was such a kind man who was so supportive and helpful to me during my time there. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Sincere condolences to all his family.

Kyra, Lindsay, Saoirse, Andy and Sierra.I was so sorry to learn of Tommy’s untimely and sudden death. He was such a kind, caring and supportive man and I have many fond memories of him, Kyra and the girls. It was good to catch up with him in December at Penelope’s funeral and so thoughtful of him to attend. You will be very much in my thoughts in the coming days.

I was very shocked to learn of Tommy’s sudden death this week. RIP. I joined The Irish Times in the same year as Tommy and we worked together in my final years in the company. He was always in good spirits and enjoyed a bit of banter. He will be sorely missed by all of his colleagues. I send my sympathies to his wife Kyra and daughters Lyndsey and Saoirse, extended family and colleagues in The Irish Times.

Kyra, Lyndsey and Saoirse my deepest condolences at this terrible time of the passing of Tommy, the man with a smile, true gentleman I worked by Tommys side day in day out in Irishtimes for many years we had good days bad days Tommy treated them all the same. Our colleagues often reffered to us as good cop bad cop, we had some good times together and every conversation was always about Kyra Lyndsey and Saoirse and heading to town on Sundays. Tommy touched alot of peoples hearts in the Irishtimes, he was one in million with out doubt tommy i will miss so much you were good pal hope you will shine down on all your family friends loved ones tommy i wont say good bye just yet catch you in next life your pal, ex co worker Mark Mc Cann and family
