Tim and Jack formed a great bond with their American cousins. They visited in our home when they came to America and we visited them in Ireland. Tim was a wonderful historian and loved to tell us about all of the relatives in Ireland. My husband, Pete. emigrated to America in 1948 when he was 10 years old. Tim always remembered us on holidays with cards or emails. With Sympathy, Rosalie Houlihan and family.

Timmy always held a special place in my family’s heart. He welcomed everyone fiercely, so that even new acquaintances felt like family. His humour kept smiles on those around him as well as kept him young at heart. He truly was a rare breed - genuine and loyal which are traits hard to come by nowadays. All of my fondest memories of my trips to Ireland are centred around both Timmy and Jack. They always offered a place where everyone could be themselves and appreciate their good-natured hospitality. I truly hope I can bring the amount of joy that Timmy brought to others to those that I come across in my life as well - always a person to put others first. May he Rest In Peace.
