Heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Phil and your children on the death of Tom, a dear husband, father and friend to many. I have such lovely memories of Tom when I was a young teacher at Brigidine Convent, Mountrath in the 70s. He assisted me with basketball training along with other assistances when I needed advice! He was always so cheerful, generous with his time and a welcoming presence around the school. May he enjoy the fruits of his good life in the kingdom of God. Rest in peace dear Tom. You'll be missed by your family and friends.

Very sincere sympathy to Phil, Alan, Colin and extended family on Tom's death RIP. So sad to hear this news. Remembering Tom brought back so many memories of his dedication and commitment to training the basketball teams in Brigidine convent. He was so unselfish in giving of his precious time in varied ways. Tom was a person of integrity. His analysis of matches played was much enjoyed over many a cup of tea with Tom and Neil Molloy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Suaimhneas siorai Tom.

Saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I'll always treasure the memories of Tom coaching us cross-country running at Nore Valley Harriers, in the De La Salle fields, the Grove, bare feet on icy grass. Tom was a great leader, instructor, always an encouraging word, a gentle manner, and a smile never far from his lips. The club provided a welcome outlet at a time when amenities were few and Tom was always on hand to ferry us between Mountrath and Castletown for training. He would challenge us on journeys to catch him out with any sports question we could conjure up. We never succeeded. Condolences to all who knew and loved him. RIP.
