Heartfelt sympathy to you Terri, Ingrid, Fintan, Orlagh and Kevin on the sad passing of Tommie Joe. He was part of the fabric of Ballymote and there will be plenty of stories told about him now.
Anytime I met him in Kane's I would know that would add 30 to 40 minutes to my shopping time as he would be telling story after story. Everytime he would always ask how our Conor was and comment that he never knew a child to climb so much. You will all miss him so much including his beloved Grandchildren. A true gentleman. Deepest sympathies to Terri, Ingrid, Fintan, Orla and Kevin on the passing of dear Tommie. I have so many wonderful memories of Tommie when you were living at the end of O’Connell Street and we lived up the street from you. I used to babysit Ingrid and maybe Fintan also when you were both very young. I always looked forward to Tommie and Terri coming home after their night out, not because I wanted to rush home but because Tommie always brought home chips and chocolate to me. The chips especially were such a treat in Ballymote in the mid -70’s. We used to all have chats and I remember lots of laughter before I ran up the street home. Thank you Tommie and Terri for those memories. Rest in Peace Tommie.
