Our deepest sympathies to Siobhán, Jack, Ellen, Ger and the wider Godley and Conway families on the very sad and untimely passing of your beloved Tommy. May his gentle soul rest in peace. The beautiful tributes here extol the essence of a very special gentleman who held family, friends and the young people he mentored very close to his heart. They reflect accurately the Tommy we were privileged to know and enjoy the company of during our memorable years in Tullamore. May the many treasured memories of a lifetime shared sustain and comfort you all at this difficult time. Let these memories in time become the invisible string that keeps you close and connected always. Apologies we were unable to attend to convey our condolences in person. The mass was a most beautiful and fitting tribute to Tommy. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Leaba i measc na Naomh go raibh aige.

It was a great shock to hear of Tommy's passing, having known him for many years through athletics, we enjoyed his company at many athletic and social events. During those years we saw first hand his love of being involved with young people be it in sport or teaching Tommy was always ready to listen and be there if needed, he gave of himself unselfishly and helped many in the process and he will be remembered with love and affection by all who knew him.
