I was so saddened to hear of the death of the legend who was Tony Murphy. I worked with Tony in Friends Provident/First in the early 90’s . Tony was infact my very first boss starting off as a very young 20 year old. He took me under his wing and made my time in work with the company so easy and he was so warm and friendly , nothing fazed him. Tony and my husband Conor who I also met in Friends first have remained friends since then coming on 34 years. He was at our wedding and us at his. We will never forget him. My sincere and heartfelt condolences go to his wife Yina , his lovely girls , his mum Ann, sisters Jackie, Caroline and his brother James. Rest in peace Tony ! You will always be in our hearts

Deepest sympathy to Ann, Caroline, James and Jacqueline on the sudden passing of Tony. I remember when the Murphy family lived in the old Donoher house/Forge in Kilbracken in the late 60's, early 70's just up the road from where we lived in Fisherstown, County Laois. We often called in on the way home from Rath School. Tony was such a kind and likeable young fellow back then and from reading through some of these condolences that stayed with him throughout his life.
