In the whispers of condolences, amidst the echoes of shared memories, we gather to honour the life of Tony O'Malley—a beacon of kindness, a pillar of strength, and a cherished friend to many. His passing leaves a void in our hearts, yet his legacy of warmth and generosity will forever guide our paths. To the O'Malley family, we extend our deepest sympathies. Tony was more than a colleague or neighbor; he was a guiding light, a source of comfort, and a true friend. His gentle soul touched the lives of many, leaving a mark of compassion and goodwill. In the corridors of Carrick Tech, Tony's presence was felt not just as a teacher, but as a mentor who instilled confidence and inspired his students. His dedication to his craft, his infectious smile, and his unwavering support endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Tony, let us carry forward the lessons he imparted—the importance of kindness, the value of friendship, and the power of a smile to brighten even the darkest days. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the memories we hold dear and the lives he touched along the way. May Tony O'Malley rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those who were fortunate enough to call him friend. And may his family find solace in the knowledge that his legacy will endure, a testament to the impact of a life well-lived.

Sincere sympathy to the O'Malley family on the passing of Tony, I never had the pleasure of having him as a teacher but I always remember him for his tuck shop, where we were treated to a variety of crisps and other goodies which was a God send, particularly when it was lashing rain outside and one couldn't get up the town. He also sold second hand school books at a cheaper rate than they were in the shops which was a big help at the start of the school year as new books were very costly. A very nice person who always went out of his way to help you, may he rest in peace.
