We are truly saddening to learn of the passing of Val, although we never had the pleasure of meeting him, we heard only good words from his neighbours and friends in Brooklawn. We promise to keep Brooklawn a peaceful and loving home in his honour.

So sorry to read of val's
passing I was his an bid's hairdresser for many years an live near him,one of my fondest memories was chatting to him in his sitting room with his little pal beside him on the armchair an he had cartoons on TV for the dog( or so he said) an as I was chatting to much the dog got up an walked over an sat right in front of the TV, I was shocked as I didn't believe a dog would look at TV but I saw it first hand.it was my pleasure to know val an bid.

I have great memories of socialising in Val's pub in Ballyhaunis in my youth.
Years Later we moved to Kilkenny and Val and Bid were our neighbours.
What a great couple they both were. Val loved to chat and his beloved dog Fergie was always at his side. Rest in peace Val.
