I was so saddned to hear of the passing of the wonderful fabulous Veronica. I worked for many years with V in the A&E dept in the Eye and Ear, we had some laughs working together and she tried her utmost best to keep me on the straight and narrow, she was my mentor and friend, and I will never forget her gorgeous smile, My deepest condolences to Michael and Veronica's family, “go n-éirí an bóthar leat” .

I worked with Veronica 20 years ago, when I was working part-time in A&E at the weekends whilst on college. Veronica set the bar very high when it came to managers - as there’s been few better examples of being professional, proficient and above all else friendly & caring to everyone that she came across.
I’ll always fondly remember the tea breaks in the tiny kitchen & the GAA on the radio!

So sorry to hear of the death of Veronica, my sympathy to Michael and The Gavin Family. I worked with Veronica in A&E at RVEEH, she was such a pleasure to work with and to learn from. I particularly remember listening to RTE 1 on Sunday afternoons when Offaly were playing. Veronica was kind and gentle and funny and a pleasure to know.

So sorry to hear of Veronica’s passing, we sat together for most of our years in the Sacred Heart School, remembering the birthday parties and fun we had in Davitt Street. May you rest in peace Veronica. My condolences to her partner and all the Gavin Family.

It is with awful sadness that I have just learned of the sad death of dear Veronica. I met her through Marlay ICA & I thought she was always so vibrant happy & the life & soul of the party.
