Philip, so sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing at such a young age. Had hoped to get along to the funeral last week to personally pass on my sympathies to you and your three children as well as Ronnie's siblings (I know Moya as I played football for many years with Mark). Unfortunately, circumstances didn't allow for that. I hope you can take some solace from the genuine outpouring of affection and appreciation for Ronnie as a wonderfully warm, fun, generous and passionate person with a fantastic track record of dedicated work to the Traveller and Roma Communities. Finally, just to let you know, we'd be remembering Ronnie at our Family Mass this coming Sunday in St Pat's College, Drumcondra.

Later I came to know her professionally in my contacts with Pavee Point in the early 1990's on behalf of the Task Force chaired by Liz McManus TD. It was my privilege to spend a year studying community development with Ronnie in Maynooth, and later to cross paths with her through my involvement with the Community Workers Coop and the Traveller Visibility Group in Cork. The world was lucky to have a person of such positive life energy, bottomless good humour and kindness. Philip and family I am so very sorry. What a loss.
