I’m so sorry that Vera has passed away, she looked after Clíodhna and I with such love and patience for so many years. I have lovely memories of playing in the back garden and bringing Lassie and later, Rabble for walks up on the green and going for ice cream up in the centre in the summertime. Vera and John’s home welcomed me every day for a decade and her lasting legacy in my mind is one of always, consistently being there; be it at the school gates or in Springlawn or in the hearts of all who loved her. I’m forever grateful to her for all of the kindness and life lessons she taught me. Rest in Peace Vera, love to John, Niall, Terence and Louise and their families and Vera’s lovely neighbours and friends.

It is with deep sadness we learned of Vera’s death. Vera has been so kind and thoughtful to our family and to Caoimhe and Clíodhna since they were in primary school and all the years since.
So many times we recall her going above and beyond for the girls from replacing their forgotten lunches to last minute brushing of their hair. She always took such amazing care of them and we will be forever grateful.
Our thoughts and prayers are with John, Niall, Terence, Louise and their families.
