A wonderful man indeed, with a wonderful temperament. It was an honour to know him and lunch with him each Sunday at the Presentation Convent. I have and shall again offer the holy Mass for the repose of his soul. May the Lord reward him for a life well served sowing seeds and saving souls.

Our family knew Frank for over thirty years. Frank baptised our son Dominic, and they remained close all of Frank’s life. They were great friends and spent many happy hours together. He will be sadly missed, and we will remember him with fondness and love.

I was very sorry to hear of Father Flynn's death. He was a very good friend to my mother and a great support in her final illness. May he rest in peace.

I wish to pass my condolence to Paddy and David and share earthly sadness at the death of Father Frank, but also share the joy in knowing that he has completed his journey to the Lord, a journey that as our parish priest he had prepared himself and us, his parishioners. Father Frank was a priest who brought the fruits of Vatican II alive, preaching of a God of Love and unlimited mercy. He was a most gentle soul, but his quiet encouragement could achieve marvels. " Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your Master"

Father Frank was a great friend as well as being our parish priest. He married myself and Adam and christened 2 of our boys, but we remember him most for his great sense of wit and humour. He was a brilliantly engaging speaker and always gave the right pitch from the lectern, the perfect mix of gravitas and humour, always with a strong moral message.
He was a brilliantly entertaining dinner guest and meant a great deal to our family. He was very dear to us all and will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences to Paddy, Kay and all of the extended family. We often saw Fr Frank in Tarmon and remember him fondly. He said the funeral mass of our father Eddie and many still talk about his sermon to this day. May he rest in eternal peace.

I feel truly blessed to have enjoyed his friendship for so many years.I will remember Fr Frank's wonderful sense of humour. He always had the ability to make me laugh !
Above all, I will remember him, for his gentleness, kindness and his understanding and his faithfulness to God and those he served.

It was with surprise and sadness I heard of FR Frnks death, RIP.. He was a gentle, kind and humble soul. We loved and valued him here in Matlock over his years as Chaplin here. We still miss him. Sincere sympathy to brother Paddy sister in law Kay, nephews, nieces, cousins and friend's and extended family. Fr Frank was a very compassionate and humble man with a great sense of humour. His church sermons never failed to get the attention of his listeners. Fond memories of his visits to our home whenever he visited ireland. He never forgot his roots. Always enquiring about the people in the neighbourhood where he had grown up. It was a privilege to have you as a cousin and friend. Rest in peace cousin Frank you will be sadly missed
