To Fr. Brian’s family, friends and parishioners and fellow clergy in Aughaninshin may we offer our sincere sympathy. We visited Letterkenny just once every year to visit family there. FR Brian nearly always officiated when we attended Mass. He came over as a very gentle and sincere man. I don’t know exactly what it was but he touched our hearts in a very special way. May he rest in peace.

If my siblings were still alive they would join me in mourning the unexpected death of Fr. Brian Quinn. We knew his uncle Fr. Edmund Gorman very well over the years and I had the great blessing of having spent a few days in Fr.Brian's parish a few years ago when I was fundraising for Uganda. Fr. Brian could not have been more hospitable or generous, and I enjoyed the gourmet food from his own kitchen. Those of the Quinn Family who have had to let go of a younger brother or an older brother, with all his gifts, are surely experiencing a great sorrow and a great loss. I am sure that the faith of the family and of Fr. Brian's many friends and colleagues in the Church, will both test and support them in the days, months and years ahead.

Condolences not only to the Quinn family but also to Bishop Mc Guckian and the priests of the diocese who have to say goodbye to yet another pastor and confessor.

I rarely pray for the dead but I always pray to them as I believe they have arrived at this mysterious state which we all want to know about, where we will all go, but about which we have very few facts. Is Brian now able to see and talk to his parents? Is he able to greet my dead siblings? What is Heaven actually and really? I hope whatever it is that Fr. Brian is very blissful there and I hope he will continue to bring blessings and consolation to his friends and family.
— Mary Moran, Laghey
