Sincere Sympathy to the Comer family. May Fr. Liam Rest In Peace.
— Beela Mary nd Paddy Griffin
Sincere sympathy to you, on the loss of Fr. Liam.
We, in Dromtariffe, felt his loss deeply in 2016. The church was packed to the rafters for his farewell Mass with a palpable feeling of a community losing someone who was important to each and every one of us.
He was, in word and in deed, a very special human being.

In our world we need more honourable people, and in the Church we need more fine priests - we give thanks that in Liam we had both. He is a huge loss to the parish, to the diocese, to his friends and most of all to his family. He suffered enough over the last bit of his pilgrim journey, may he have reached the destination now and enjoy peace with the Saviour whom he dearly followed. God rest you Liam

We would like to offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family, clergy and friends of Fr Liam, his loss is very painful. Even though his illness shortened his Ministry he has left a lasting impression on us all. He was appointed to our Pastoral Area (Naomh Bréanainn) on 20th July 2016 as Parish Priest in Ardfert and Moderator here in Ballyheigue. With his lovely gentleness, kindness and patience he guided us through a difficult time in our Parish life. His wisdom and experience laid the foundations for a lot of the day-to-day planning in our Parish and Pastoral Area. He was always there to give advice when asked and encouragement was always accompanied with a lovely smile.
But above all we will miss him for his most beautiful and spiritual Masses which enriched us all –from his handshake during the Sign of Peace with most of the congregation to his final words at the end of Mass — Let Us Go and Spread the Gospel by the Way we Live our Lives . Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.
