We are both saddned at the news of fr Roger passing. He was a good friend of the mc donagh family for years and after he moved away when he would come back and walk on the Boyle road he always called . He was a nice witty gentleman. I also knew him from his time in culfadda he was very well liked and respected.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of Fr Roger ,my first meeting with him was 1963 in the Strandhouse Hotel in Strandhill while working there for the summer He was there with his lovely mother and we hav meet many times since ,it was always a pleasure to meet him and chat about old times about the Hannans and McDonaghs,may his gentle soul rest in peace with all that's gone before him. I won't be able to make his funeral as I hav Covid , but I ll be with you on line for his funeral mass thinking and praying for you all
