Dearest Rosemary, Kate and Mark – it is with deepest sadness we hear the news of the untimely death of your beloved Victor. Please accept our sincerest condolences and sympathy. It is with much fondness that I recall our carefree days of youth in Clyde Court, Lad Lane and Leeson Close when Victor would journey up from Co Laois to visit you, the love of his life, in his Fiat 132 (leaving the radio on as it wouldn’t switch off). He was always cheerful, full of fun and laughter. You and Victor were blessed to have found your soul mate with each other, and it is so sad that your life journey together has been so suddenly cut so short. May the memory of those many happy years of togetherness help ease your grief. Thinking of you and your family during these sad days with much love.

I knew and worked with Victor for many years. He was a joy to meet and I was always impressed by his good humour kindness and understanding. Victor and his team carried out their work to the highest standard of silviculture. It was incredible to see all the areas of forest which he managed subsequently grow to their maximum potential and added value. Victor was skilled at all harvesting operations and extremely efficient. He will be sadly missed by all those who were so lucky to have know him.
