My deepest sympathies to Vincent's family.
I watched the service online and very grateful to have the opportunity to be with you.

Vincent was a champion in my life for 16 years. I met him as a teenager and we immediately clicked. He spoke in a way that I could really relate to. His guidance has helped me to become successful beyond the furthest expectations. I now train others and coach. He always said, "do the work because you can". I know that I will have his wisdom in my mind and good faith in my heart for anything life sends my way.

RIP Vincent Byrne.

My condolence to Vincent's Family.
For me Vincent was a complete joy in that he had a strong determination to be the person
HE was choosing to be, as well as an equally strong desire to be spontaneously useful unto others. Not always easy; rarely actually inapropriate.
I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside him and being in his company and most especially the dynamic conversations we had on many subjects.
A highly creative, good man, who lived a useful, productive life, and who has left a fine legacy for us all.
— Lilian Beattie
My deepest condolences to you Kate and to your family. May you find yourselves surrounded by the waves of love that Vincent initiated. I have known Vincent from the 1990s, when he pioneered a grassroots Adlerian model of community mental health and wellbeing in the schools and community centres across the Coolock, Kilbarrack, Priorswood and Darndale areas of Dublin and beyond. I will be forever grateful to have been 'met' by him.
— Aine Farrell, Colaiste Dhulaigh, Coolock

Anyone who knew Vincent knew that he loved Alfred Adler and it was Adler who said - We remember what is important. Vincent was important - to me and many many others. We remember him and hold him in our hearts. We remember the laughter, the turn of phrase, the wit, the keen mind, the fresh perspective, the fact that he would tell you straight but was always on your side. We remember how important family was to him and how he showed many of us how to be a better person and create a life with meaning. Vincent will shine bright in the lives of all the people he helped. Rest well old friend. M x
