I loved working with Viv , it was always interesting, there was nothing that we believe we could not do , no matter the problem Viv would smile and say there’s no going back now ! She was totally honest which was so refreshing . She would be quick to spot if any of us were out of sorts and have a quit word . She was very much the glue that kept our small team humming. She will be missed but even now I find myself smiling when I think of her . A wonderful lady And a true friend .

Vivienne was the first member of the office staff that contacted me when I joined the Board of Hockey Ireland. As someone who was coming from outside hockey she just wanted to make sure I was ok and settling in. To me Vivienne was the matriarch of the Hockey family, always looking out for people, always looking for ways to help people work together and get on with each other. I will really miss her phone calls and the heads up she would give me on things but most of all I will miss her sense of fun and the joy she brought to everything she got involved in. My condolences to her family and everyone who had the honour of knowing and working with her. May she rest in peace.
