Deepest sympathy to the Doherty family on the sad passing of Bill. We have fond memories of Bill coming to fix our tractors over the years. He was a genius at his job. We enjoyed the chats and stories he had. RIP Bill.

Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. I knew him from Favourite Tractors. He was an absolute gentleman, and he was a visionary of the time when he started to bring in an unknown tractor, called a Fendt, to Ireland. There is a book to be written about this story at some stage!

I spend a summer holiday helping Bill fix and service Fendt tractors out in Tallaght and beyond, probably getting in the way more than anything. Fond memeories of that time. RIP Bill.

Bill & Seamus sold my late dad Jimmy his 1st fendt back in the late 70s .He was a mind of information and mechanical knowhow of this new brand back to Ireland in the day . Bill and Seamus were a great team in Favorit Tractors and Bill was always at the end of the phone. A kind and decent man and I had lots of dealings with him over the years. Sincere condolences to his family.

I spent many years hunting and shooting with him and always enjoyed his company. Every Fendt tractor owner will tell you that he was an expert on those tractors.
I can't help coming to the conclusion that when God created Bill he decided to throw away the mould.
There'll never be another like him. Rest easy Bill.
