I only met him a couple of times, but also heard of some of his adventures & wonderful zest for life & travels through Martin Fischer (Chicken) & Josephine Smyth, & found him to be an inspiration! What a long & varied life he lived. May he rest in peace & his spirit continue to fly.

So sorry Christina and family to hear that Willie has departed this life. He was a mischievous and inspiring treasure - a true friend who unfailingly filled up my heart - I never left him without a smile on my face and a feeling that all will be alright with this world. I am so glad to have had an afternoon with him before the pandemic struck and to know he died at home with his loved ones around him. He was one in a million and will be remembered with fondness and respect. My sincere condolences to you at this time of loss. May he fly free and high like the birds he loved.
