William (Will) Davis

Thank you to everyone in the community & especially Malahide RFC & the North County Brewers who ensured that Will got a very special and well-deserved send off.

We have lost a dear, dear friend from this life, we gained so much from his friendship, now we have an advocate on the other side - enjoy the celestial debate Will, God-Speed!

A true Gentleman who made every visit to MRFC worthwhile; he was very knowledgeable on many subject and always had the time to share his knowledge and experience to help others. You will be missed Will.

Will was a such a large presence in Malahide Rugby Club..in all senses of the word. A warm, genuine gent who will be missed terribly, as much for his character, as for the huge amount of work he did for the club. R.I.P. Will.

I haven’t been in touch with Will for many years. We both worked in Captec and spent a few months together with another brilliant colleague- Paul Kermode - at ESTEC in the Netherlands. While we were there (working on software for satellites) Will and Paul introduced me to wonderful places to eat and drink in the locality and in Amsterdam at the weekends. Will was a great debater. He and Paul had a great joy for life, beer and smoking their pipes. They put me off tobacco for ever. Thank you Will for all the fun!

Will, life is one long day and we will see you tomorrow. Kami.

Condolences to Will's family and friends on his passing. I knew Will through home brewing and he was always willing to give advice and assistance when asked for. He was a great man for a story and will be sorely missed by me and all that knew him.

I was gutted to hear of Will’s death. He will be sorely missed. He was a gentleman who always gave generously of his time and expertise.

I met Will through the Homebrewing Community and Will became more than just a brew buddy. I’ll miss his positive outlook and creativity. He had an ability to solve problems and his dedication to whatever he threw his hand to was amazing. I’ll miss your cheeky smile Will. I offer my deepest condolences to the Davis Family, may he rest in peace.

It was so sad to hear of the news. He was always the gentleman & great for a chat, whenever you’d bump into him. He will be truly missed in the homebrewing community & by all him who knew him within it. Sincere condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear of Will’s passing. We would see him most days tending to the grounds of Malahide Rugby Club. He was a lovely gentleman.

Will was the much loved son of Charles and Joyce Davis, admired and loved nephew of Joan Gleed (nee Davis) and cousin to Peter Gleed. Even though we were across the other side of the world and only met a few times we were always proud to hear of his progress and achievments throughout his life. Very sad to hear this news. Will was a pillar of Malahide RFC and was a passionate travelling supporter of the 1st XV and our tireless and passionate groundsman for many years.. RIP Will - you are a hard act to follow and you will be sadly missed around the clubhouse and village.
