Our deepest sympathy to the Webb family on the passing of Willie. I worked with Willie from 1990 to his retirement from the Defence Forces in 2016. He was a great friend and Colleague. Work was so enjoyable when he was around because he would always have you full of laughter with his memorable stories. He will be missed by his family and all that knew him.

I wish to extend my own and my family's deepest sympathy to the family, friends and comrades of Willie. He was a true gentleman and very kind to those he came across in life. Willie was a dedicated soldier who was committed to the Defence Forces and most importantly to those who served in it. I first met him in 1981 in the Medical Depot in the Curragh where he lectured me in first aid and 'looked after me' as if I was a member of his family. I worked with him in PDFORRA and was impressed by his decorum, wicked sense of humour and his strength. His guiding hand was important to me in some very difficult situations. Willie you will be sadly missed.
