My Grandparents bought a house in Rossa Avenue in the 70's from a man called Wolfgang Grabe. I remember them talking about him as being a very nice, kind gentle person and that he had a jewellery shop on Oliver Plunkett Street. I was fascinated by his name as it was so different from anything we had ever heard before. When I saw your father's death notice I remember the name immediately. We have some lovely memories of the times we spent as kids in "HANOVER" Rossa Avenue, Bishopstown.

He used to enjoy so much his excursions to the woods with the dog until it was no longer possible. Still missed so much his beloved wife. Very sorry to hear of the passing of your father, he was a true gentleman. My late mother Noreen McSweeney worked at the shop with both of you up to his retirement in 1999 and she was very fond of ye. My Italian girlfriend Lucia (now wife) at the same time lived in the flat above the Jewelry shop while attending UCC and she always said your father had a great wit and a lovely manner and would chat to her often about her studies.
