You and your family have been in our thoughts and prayers since we learnt of Yafet's passing.

We know how much shocking would the loss of Yafet to those who know him let alone to his beloved families & to us his brothers who know him since over 45 years as comrade in arms too. In all those years, he was kind, humble, generous & always there to those who require his support both in his advice & finance. Not only his families, friends, brothers who are close to him have lost him but his country has also lost such a great man. Me & my family wish him an eternal life & a brief period of grief to his closest families knowing that the memory about Yafet is difficult to forget in so short period of time.

The part of the journey that we generally perceive came to a point where we physically missed Yafet. His serenity, thoughtfulness, generosity and openheartedness will be remembered for long. We lost him at a time when we need people like him. Let his soul rest in peace.

Yafet was a very special person. He was kind, compassionate. He was a great friend to me and Mulugeta, and we will miss him dearly.

We used to chat with Yafet through WhatsApp group chat two or three times a week about everything.

We would talk about our country Ethiopia, our families, our jobs, our hobbies, and our dreams, about his & Mulugeta’s football team Arsenal. He was always there for us, no matter what.

I know that no words can ease your pain, but I want you to know that you are not alone. We are here for you, and we will support you in any way we can.

My Condolences to all the Family. I knew Yafet since 1963 may be. Met him again in 2015 when he came to DMV area. We had lunch together including other classmate. Was a beautiful meeting. I am saddened to here about his passing. I am sorry again. I know he survived by his wife daughter and a youn man.
