On November 6th 2024, in his 102nd year and in the presence of his family, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of Dunmanway Community Hospital, Cornelius (Connie) retired Postmaster, Tarelton. Predeceased by his dearly beloved wife Noreen (née McCarthy), his two infant children, parents John and Julia, sisters Breed (Sr. Jarlath, Poor Clares) and Kitty and brother Fr. Dan. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Sheila and Anna, son John, sons-in-law Martin and Tom, his ever adored grandchildren Conor, Clara, Grace, Louis, Aisling, Hannah and William, sister-in-law Maureen, cousins, kind neighbours and loyal friends.

May Connie Rest in Peace.

Lying in repose at Fitzgerald’s Funeral Home, Macroom (P12 KX79) on Friday (8th) from 4.00pm to 5.00pm. Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday (9th) in St Finbarr’s Church Toames (P12 A593). Funeral afterwards to St Colman’s Old Cemetery Macroom.
