Dan died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Elizabeth “Betty” née O’Brien (originally of Bengal Terrace, Limerick) and his 8 children: Terry Daly, Brian (Debbie) Daly, Dan (Patti) Daly, Mary Ann (Tom) Miller, Peggy (David) Hill, Sheila (Brian Forseth) Daly, Pat (Steven Maguire) Daly, and Liz (Sam) Lehrfeld. Dan was also beloved father-in-law to Kathy Bevans Daly, “Pop” to 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His surviving family includes: Breda O’Dwyer, Sheila McCloskey, Anthony O’Brien and Rose O’Brien of Limerick, Ireland; the Daly family of Bundoran, Ireland; the Bonnewitz family of Florida; the McCloskeys of Delaware; Patrick Daly, Lynn Daly and Kathleen Thimm of Long Island, NY; and countless family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only sibling, Terry Daly.

Dan’s Funeral Mass has already taken place in Newark, DE. Burial will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

A Memorial Mass will take place in St. John's Cathedral, Limerick on Tuesday April 19th at 5:45pm.
