Daniel Sampson

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the news of young Daniel Sampson who passed away in his home peacefully surrounded by his loving family on the 17th of June 2024. Daniel encapsulated courage and strength. He was a talented footballer who represented many teams along the way in Beechwood FC, St Joseph’s Boys AFC, Kilnamanagh AFC and Malahide United. Daniel enjoyed time spent playing rugby in Old Belvedere RFC and for the school team in Belvedere College. Daniel also had a passionate love for music, cooking and film amongst many other hobbies throughout his life.

His gentle soul will be missed by his heartbroken parents, Aoife and Edmund, older brother, Milo and by his adoring grandparents, aunties, uncles, cherished cousins, friends and teammates who loved him very much.

Reposing today, Wednesday, at his home from 5pm to 8pm and house is strictly private tomorrow, Thursday. His funeral will be held on Friday, 21st June 2024, in Gardiner St Church, at 11am, followed by cremation at 2pm in Glasnevin Crematorium.
