Smyth, David (Dave) (Lakelands, Naas, Co. Kildare and formerly of The Main Guard, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and Tullamore, Co. Offaly) – July 17, 2024, passed away peacefully after a short illness borne with courage and dignity, surrounded by his loving family, in the tender care of the exceptional staff at St. Brigid’s Hospice, The Curragh, darling husband and best friend of Mary and dearest father of David, Rebecca, Brian and Adrian; Dave will be forever loved and missed by his loving wife, daughter, sons, his adored grandchildren Fionn, Salomòn, Daisy, Ruby, Zack, Izzi and Dáithí, his loving sisters Anne and Maureen, son-in-law Carlos, daughters-in-law Julie and Bróna, brothers-in-law Noel, Terry and Tom, sister-in-law Margaret, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of lifelong friends.
Reposing at his home on Friday from 4pm to 8pm with Prayers at 6:30pm. Removal on Saturday to the Church of Our Lady and St. David, Naas arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium. The family would appreciate, in lieu of any flowers, a donation to The Friends of St. Brigid’s Hospice in The Curragh.
