Once upon a time there was a little boy born in America. He was much longed for and brought great joy to his parents Declan and Fiona. They named him Declan. Not long after, they were blessed with two more children first George and then Henry, who loved him as much as his parents did. Declan was a beautiful boy, he had it all. Good looking, intelligent, witty and oh so charming. He had so much energy and lived his life like no other. He was loved by countless people. His two sets of grandparents. George and Bridie, and Ann and Bill….many aunts and uncles:- Avril & Pat, Sylvia & Michael, Liam & Ima, Paula & Kevin, Colm & Sapna, Susan & John, Frank & Barbara, Helena & Vincent. Of course there were many, many cousins. Helen, Robbie, Pamela, Tom, Emily, Frankie, Rachael, Jessica, Maya, Riya, Emma, Bobbie, Layla, John, Natasha, Jenni & Sean. There were also so, so many other relatives and people that loved him dearly. His extended family would always be delighted to see him. He had his great aunts, Maura, Anne, Veronica and uncle Tom plus other relatives that were always delighted when he visited particularly Melanie and her children Beth, Lara and Spencer.
Declan was growing up. He was a very lucky chap. He did well in school gaining a place in Trinity College to study computer science. He was in third year and very much looking forward to living the life he had planned for himself. He had a lovely group of friends from all aspects of his life and had also met Gaia, someone special to share his hopes and dreams with. Unfortunately two years ago his grandad George passed away followed not long after by his granny Ann. Then this year his other grandad Bill and granny Bridie passed away too.
The other day this perfect beautiful boy had an accident. He was not to wake up here on this earth with the people that love him. He has gone and taken that amazing energy and spark to his grandparents...He will light up their world like he lit up ours.
This is not the end of his story, we will meet again...
We will love you, remember you, and miss you to the end of our days.
