Denise French

French (Kinsale) on December 10th, 2024, passed away suddenly at Kinsale Community Hospital. Denise (Monastery Gardens) beloved mother of Lance and Kerry.

 

Sadly missed by her loving son, daughter, daughter-in-law Victoria, grandchildren Oliver, Tate, Simon and Cole, sister Joy, brother Eric, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Dear friends and acquaintances of Denise,

 

Sincere gratitude for the condolences, and especially for the kind words about Denise, our beloved mother. It's been very comforting to know that she was surrounded by so many kind and genuine people.

 

Denise was a truly courageous, determined and intrepid person. Despite the curveballs life threw at her, she remained strong and made a success of whatever she set her sights upon. Always resourceful and determined, no one could dissuade her from what she believed was right.

Although she didn’t follow a particular religion, she was a humble, selfless and deeply spiritual woman. It is these aspects of her character that guided our decision on how to mark her departure from this world in a way that we believe she would be comfortable with.

Despite her strong roots in Ireland, Denise was not culturally Irish and we are aware that our decision is not the Irish way. But she never liked a fuss, and so we believe this is what she would have preferred, and that is what feels most important to us.

 

Thank you all for welcoming her into your lives, and for giving her a rich and fulfilling final chapter to hers. She valued it enormously.
