Desmond (Des) McNeill

The peaceful death has taken place of Des, at University Hospital Galway, on 12 November 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Shirley and much loved father of Gary, Mark, Paul, Louise and Aimee. Predeceased by his grandson Kyle, mother Mary and his brother Alan. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife, sons and daughters and their partners, father Pat, brothers and sisters, his adored grandchildren Jay. Alex, Kaylem, Rhy's, Jack, Dara, Dylan, Jake, Cody and Páidí, father-in-law Harry, mother-in-law May, nephews, nieces, the extended McNeill and Lawton family, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing at St. Pio's Room within the Church of the Sacred Heart, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway on Sunday 17 November 2024 from 5.00 p.m. with Removal into the Church at 6.00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Des at 11.00 a.m. on Monday, 18 November. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Des to a charity of your own choice.
