Desmond (Dessie) Murray

Desmond (Dessie) Murray, late of Mervue, Co. Galway and formerly Crossmolina, Co. Mayo. Dessie passed away peacefully in University Hospital, Galway on 2nd October 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents, Annie and John, his son baby Desmond, brothers Paddy, Jimmy & Johnny & his sister Agnes.

Deeply missed by his wife Angela, brother Billy and sister Kathleen, sons Ray & Darrin, daughters Cilla, Trisha, Teeda, Mary, Lorraine, Angela. daughters in law & sons in law, his beloved grandchildren & great grandchildren, nieces & nephews, sisters in law, neighbours & friends

Dessie lived out his last year with the home care of his beloved family. He was active in all activities and reciprocated the love and respect he was shown by all who cared for him especially his friend and carer Bryan.

Reposing in The Holy Family Funeral Home, Mervue, in the grounds of The Church of The Holy Family, Mervue (H91 FH52), on Thursday, the 5th of October, from 5pm. Removal at 6:30pm to the adjoining church. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, the 6th of October, at 11am. Funeral afterwards to Rahoon Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be livestreamed via https://mervueparish.ie/
