Donal (Donie) Murphy, 19 Harmony Heights , Cavan Town and formerly Delaney Park, Dublin Hill, Co. Cork, Saturday September 7th 2024, suddenly, at home.

Predeceased by his beloved wife and best friend Brenda, his mam and dad Ellen and Michael Murphy and his brothers Edward, Gerard and Denis.

Donie will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by his heartbroken daughter's Lorraine and Denise, his adored granddaughter Ríogan, her partner Conor, his siblings Eileen, Jack, Michael, Rose, Eddie, Philly, Paudie, Esther and Majella, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all his extended family, his comrades at the United Nations Veterans Association Post 15 Cavan and all his many friends. May he rest in peace.

Donie will repose at the home of his daughter Denise, 12 Sean Bhothar, Latt, Cavan (H12 NH02) on Monday from 2pm until 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass the cortege will travel to St.Brigid's Cemetery, Killygarry, via the Cock Hill, for committal prayers and burial. Anyone who can't make the Funeral are asked to place their condolences in the section at the bottom of this page. Donie's Funeral mass will be available to view live on the parish website
