The death has occurred of
Dr Brian D. Place
(Former Head of Science GMIT, Galway) and late of Lurgan Park, Renmore, Wales and Bury, St. Edmunds, UK; Brian passed away at Beaumont Hospital with his family by his side following the exceptional care of the medical teams in the stroke unit at UHG and Beaumont Dublin. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Annette and their son Jamie, daughter Fiona, sons Chris, Ian, and Martin and their mother Susan, grandchildren Katie, Ben, Sam, Sophia, Bonnie and Heidi, extended family and friends.
Removal from his home on Friday morning, 19th November, at 10.30 a.m. to the Church of the Assumption and St. James, Claregalway. Requiem Mass for close family on arrival at 11 a.m. Private cremation to follow. House Private.

Mass will be broadcast on 106.4 FM radio in the Claregalway area.
Although the attendance at the Church has increased in capacity, Brian’s family are mindful of spreading Covid-19 and have decided to have a reduced attendance of people at the Church. No flowers please. Donations in memory of Brian to Croí and the stroke unit at UHG Galway.
