Elizabeth (Bette) Carroll (née McDermott). Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly, Colligmartin House, Timahoe, Co. Kildare, died peacefully on the morning of her 93rd birthday - surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at the Royal Hospital, Donnybrook.

 

Bette was the much loved youngest daughter, and last surviving member, of the family of Jack and May McDermott. She shared fifty wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Tom, and was a devoted mother to Maeve, Bill and David and cherished friend to their partners Michael, Liz and Joe.

 

Bette was a devoted grandmother to Ciaran, Andrew and Laura and a much loved aunt to her many nieces, grand-nieces and nephews. Bette will be deeply missed by her extended family, wide circle of friends and her kind neighbours in Pine Court.

 

Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Tuesday October 3rd, in the Church of the Guardian Angels on Newtownpark Ave, Blackrock, followed by cremation at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.
